AN APPEAL TO WORLD HINDU COMMUNITY- A FAMOUS TEMPLE AT KALLIDAIKURUCHI, TAMILNADU, INDIA

AN APPEAL

We are having an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Sri Subramanya in a place called Kallidaikuruchi in Tirunelveli Dist of Tamil nadu India. We are proposing to perform Mahakumbabhishekam for the temple for which we need Huge funds . We are interested to get the funding from your concern for which an appeal has been prepared and sent to various persons who are contributing to the divine movement.

Lord Sri Subramanya reigning from the temple on the banks of the perennial river Tambiravaruni and abutting the Canadian Canal has been bestowing His Grace on the citizens for Ages. The Last major function was performed in 1965 and its since 40 years has passed .
The income from the small landholdings of the temple is so meagre that it has not been possible to meet even the recurring monthly expenses of the temple . However , in spite of the resource constraints , the trustees have somehow managed to conduct annual festivals of the temple...
The temple needs large scale repairs immediately on the entire roof-top structure to prevent seepage of water during rainy season. It is also proposed to build a boundary with a gate on the north east side of the temple to bring the bathing ghat ( Mandapam) within precincts of the temple. In addition , the flooring and electrical works are to be carried out for the entire temple.
Apart from attending to the above works, a permanent corpus is required to meet the monthly expenses and this is to be maintained as a fixed deposit and the interest utilized to meet the maintenance of the temple.
A Target of 25 lakhs and above in INR is estimated at the current level period.
An executive committee known as Sri Subramanya Seva Samithi is formed comprising of well wishers and citizens of the place to monitor and execute the different levels . We are proposing to bring out a Souvenir on this occasion.
